Camp Crystal Lake can rest easy for a while. Netherrealm and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have confirmed that Jason Voorhees is going to be busy machete-ing his way through the Mortal Kombat X roster, assuming you buy the Kombat Pack.
Much like Freddy Krueger in Mortal Kombat 2011, Jason will be added to the game as DLC. The 'Kombat Pack' will also include two classic Kombat characters, and another "special guest" character. You can check out Jason's creepy debut in the trailer below, and hope along with the rest of us that Freddy will show up again so you can stage your own Freddy vs. Jason the way it should have gone down.

Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment also confirmed two more playable characters by way of the Kombat Pack's included Samurai Pack: blind swordsman Kenshi, who gets a Ronin outfit and was given an apparently unauthorized nod last week, and the villainous Shinnok, who dons a Samurai costume. The previously confirmed Kitana will get a Jingu costume.
Each playable character released in the Kombat Pack will be accompanied by another costume pack, and owners will get early access to all DLC. The Kombat Pack will be sold as part of Mortal Kombat X's Limited and Premium Editions, or on its own for $29.99 / £24.99.
Lastly, you'll have to wait a few more months to play Mortal Kombat X on PS3 and Xbox 360. WBIE confirmed to Videogamer that the last-gen versions have been delayed into the summer, while the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions are still on track for April 14.
